The National Book Festival

This weekend in Washington D.C., on the National Mall, the National Book Festival is going on. It’s a big event, with a variety of pavilions, activities, authors reading…

On the National Mall, Washington, D.C.It’s a big deal.

Wells Fargo is a big sponsor of the Festival, so we’ll have historians there, doing readings (from our newest Wells Fargo history, Since 1852, for example), showing artifacts from our collection, and leading activities like mailbag trivia and the “Lasso Lightning” game. There will be gifts, discussions about history, coloring activities, and something we like to call “Build a Bank.”

We’re also proud to host the reading of Stagecoach Sal by Deborah Hopkinson, the author herself. Ms. Hopkinson will read at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24th at the Let’s Read America Pavilion.

It’s going to be fun, so make sure you make it to our nation’s capital this weekend!

Will you lasso Lightning? And pick up a book, while you’re there, for the trip home. Should be pretty easy to find one!
