Beep Beep Beep

Color at Guided by History (Click for larger image in a new window)Excellent captions for the photo!

Favorites include: “Larry was looking to try out his new disco moves but couldn’t find where to plug in his 8-track,” from team member Rickl; and from our Facebook friend Janice, “You put your right foot in … You put your right foot out … You put your right foot in … And you shake it all about … You do the Hokey Pokey … And you turn yourself around … That’s what it’s all about.”

So THAT’S what it’s all about!

The image of the man running between computers is from our Crocker Bank archive collection. The Wells Fargo Corporate Archives Team loves pictures of old (giant) computers. This was such an exciting time for modern banking.

Take a look at some other interesting images of computers we dug up from the Archives! Do you know specifics about the computer models? Or did you ever work with similar technology? Let us know!

Haha. Some of those computers look more like washing machines!
